Our private lessons are designed around your dog, your goals, and your everyday life, giving you the one-on-one attention needed to work through specific behaviors in a focused and supportive environment.

Whether you’re dealing with leash reactivity, anxiety, fear, overexcitement, resource guarding, aggression, impulse control, jumping, barking, or simply want to build stronger obedience and manners, our trainers will take the time to understand what’s happening beneath the behavior and create a training approach that makes sense for your dog.

Private training is also a great option for dogs who become overwhelmed or distracted in group settings, dogs with very specific training goals, or pet parents who simply prefer a more personalized experience. Sessions can be adjusted as your dog progresses, allowing us to focus on the skills that matter most to you rather than following a generic curriculum.

But private training isn’t just about training your dog while you watch. We train you, too. Our trainers will show you what to do, explain why we’re doing it, and teach you how to recognize and respond to your dog’s communication. You’ll learn how to reinforce the behaviors you want, prevent unwanted behaviors from becoming habits, and confidently continue the work between sessions.

Our goal is to give you practical tools that actually translate into real life. That might mean learning how to navigate a walk without your dog losing their mind at another dog, helping your nervous pup feel safer in new environments, teaching your excitable dog how to settle, or building better communication and boundaries at home.

Description: There’s something special about learning together. Our group training classes give you and your dog the opportunity to build real-world skills while working around other dogs, people, and everyday distractions. Rather than practicing commands in a quiet room with nothing else going on, your dog learns how to listen, focus, and make good choices when there is actually something interesting happening around them.

Group classes are a great fit for dogs who are ready to build their foundation, improve their manners, strengthen their obedience, and become more comfortable working around other dogs. They’re also a fun way for pet parents to meet other dog lovers, learn alongside their peers, and become part of the Leashes and Lashes community.

Our classes are structured by skill level, so you and your dog can work on appropriate goals without feeling overwhelmed. Each class is led by one of our experienced trainers, who will demonstrate the skills, explain the reasoning behind them, and provide guidance as you practice with your own dog. 

We want you to understand not only what to ask your dog to do, but how and when to reinforce those behaviors.

Description: Want more training support than a weekly group class, but a full Board & Train isn’t the right fit for your budget or lifestyle? Our Bootcamp Program was created for you.

Bootcamp is an add-on to our group training program designed to give your dog additional practice and professional guidance throughout the week. Instead of coming to class once a week, your dog comes to Leashes and Lashes three times a week for structured training, allowing us to spend more time reinforcing skills, building consistency, and helping your dog make real progress.

Bootcamp is available in 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week packages, so you can choose the level of support that makes the most sense for your dog and your goals. During their time with us, your dog will receive additional hands-on instruction from our trainers while continuing to participate in their regular group classes.

But we don’t want your dog to only know how to behave when they’re at Leashes and Lashes. Your participation at home is an important part of the program. While your dog is receiving additional training with us, you’ll continue practicing their skills at home between classes. This allows us to create consistency between what your dog learns here and what you expect from them at home.

Bootcamp is especially helpful for dogs who need a little more repetition, structure, or accountability to really understand a new skill. It can be a great option for building obedience, improving manners, strengthening focus and engagement, working on impulse control, and helping your dog become more reliable around distractions.

Our trainers will help you identify where your dog needs the most support and use their additional training days to reinforce those areas. You’ll continue learning alongside your dog in group class while we provide the extra practice and professional support in between.

 Best For: Pet parents looking for an immersive, structured training experience with consistent daily instruction and a strong foundation for long-term success.

Description: Sometimes the best way to make progress is to give your dog the time, structure, and consistency they need to truly learn. Our Board & Train programs provide an immersive training experience where your dog stays with us and receives daily, hands-on training throughout their stay.

We offer 7-day, 21-day, and 30-day programs, allowing us to match the length of the program to your dog’s individual needs, training goals, and starting skill level. During their stay, your dog will participate in structured training sessions throughout the day while also learning how to apply those skills during everyday activities. We work on obedience, manners, impulse control, engagement, leash skills, place work, recall, socialization, and other practical behaviors based on your dog’s personalized training plan.

Board & Train is about much more than teaching a list of commands. Your dog is learning how to make better choices, focus around distractions, settle appropriately, and understand what is expected of them in different environments. Our trainers are able to reinforce those skills consistently throughout the day, helping your dog build reliable habits rather than only practicing for a few minutes at a time.

We also believe dogs need to learn how to live well, not just train well. Depending on your dog and their program, training may be incorporated into walks, structured play, downtime, transitions, meals, and other everyday moments. These opportunities allow us to work on the behaviors that matter when you’re actually living life together.

Most importantly, Board & Train does not end when your dog comes home. A successful program requires teamwork between the trainer, the dog, and the pet parent. At the end of your dog’s stay, we’ll help you understand what they’ve learned, how to maintain those behaviors, and how to continue building on their progress at home. Our goal is for you to feel confident using the same communication, structure, and reinforcement your dog learned during their stay.
