When your dog isn’t busy learning, they’re busy being a dog! Depending on their needs and schedule, they may enjoy daycare, one-on-one time with a member of our team, or some well-deserved downtime and a nap. We believe rest is just as important as training, so we make sure every dog gets plenty of time to relax and recharge.

At Leashes and Lashes, your dog is cared for by more than just one trainer. Our team includes full-time dog trainers, kennel technicians, animal care specialists, groomers, and more, each bringing their own experience, education, and areas of expertise to our facility.

We believe consistency is one of the most important parts of successful training. That’s why our entire team is trained on the skills and commands your dog is learning; not just the trainer working directly with them. Whether your pup is working on their recall, place, wait, or simply practicing good manners, our staff knows how to reinforce those behaviors throughout their day.

This means your dog isn’t only learning to listen to us, they’re learning to listen to you and your family, too. Our goal is to create skills that carry over into everyday life, not behaviors that only work when a trainer is holding the leash.

We guarantee that we will always do our job to the best of our ability and provide your dog with the time, care, knowledge, and effort they deserve. However, we cannot guarantee a specific training outcome or behavioral change.

Every dog is an individual, and training results can be influenced by factors outside of our control, including genetics, temperament, previous learning experiences, environment, consistency at home, owner participation, and underlying medical or behavioral conditions. Training is a partnership, and the work that happens between sessions plays an important role in long-term success.

Our promise is to provide professional guidance, individualized training, and honest communication throughout the process. While we cannot promise a specific result, we can promise that your dog will be treated as an individual and that our team will give their best effort every step of the way. 

All you need to bring is your completed information packet, your dogs up to date vet records, and enough food to last your pups entire stay. We will take care of everything else during your dogs stay!

The suitable program for you depends on your objectives. If you aim to establish fundamental skills with a focus on treat-based training, our 7-day program is ideal. For comprehensive foundational obedience, with reduced reliance on treats, we recommend our 21 or 30-day board and train options. However, if your goals involve addressing complex behavioral issues like fear or specific forms of aggression, achieving lasting change necessitates time to modify learned behaviors and associated emotional responses. In such cases, our 4-8 week board and train program is tailored to provide thorough support and guidance.

We require a 20% nonrefundable deposit to secure your spot. This deposit can be held or transferred to a different date within six months before it expires, offering flexibility to accommodate changes in your schedule. However, due to the specialized nature of our services, we accept only a select number of cases, carefully considering each dog's temperament to ensure a safe and positive experience for all. 

Please note that deposits are service-specific and cannot be transferred to other offerings such as training, grooming, or standard boarding.

Dogs naturally gravitate towards behaviors that are reinforced, adapting their conduct based on the environment's cues. Therefore, if a behavior is rewarding in one setting but not in another, dogs will adjust their behavior accordingly.

For a board and train program to yield success, active owner involvement is crucial. Owners learn how to reinforce the newly acquired behaviors, ensuring consistency once the dog returns home. If time constraints hinder your ability to invest in your own training, opting for a board and train may not be advisable. We strongly encourage participation in a follow-up class, allowing us to assess your dog's transition back home and provide additional guidance if needed.
